Installation#
Compatibility
Official support may hinder the GFWL experience. If you want to use GFWL, install the mod first, then apply GFWL patch ontop.
- Go to the Releases page.
- Download the latest release.
- Extract
GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.zip
into the game folder. - Rename the
dinput8.dll
toxlive.dll
if downgraded and not using GFWL. Replace if needed.
If using ZolikaPatch...
Open ZolikaPatch.ini
and disable the following options:
- BuildingAlphaFix
- EmissiveLerpFix
- BikePhoneAnimsFix
- BorderlessWindowed
- CutsceneFixes
- HighFPSBikePhysicsFix
- HighFPSSpeedupFix
- ReversingLightFix
- OutOfCommissionFix
- SkipIntro
- SkipMenu
Note that this doesn't break or actually disable anything, as these features are reimplemented by FusionFix.
- Go to the Releases page.
- Download the latest release.
- Extract
GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.zip
into the game folder.
You can move files from the plugins to the game folder for convenience.
Updating
If you're updating the mod, do not extract GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.ini
. Just take note if there are any new options that differ from your existing ones, carry them over in that case.
Performance impact
By itself, FusionFix does not impact performance. However, several options can increase the performance impact - change the options if you want to minimize the impact:
- SSAA 2x
- Shadow Filter (PCSS)
- Shadow Quality
- Night Shadows
- Depth of Field
- Distant Blur
- Motion Blur
- View/Detail Distance
- Reflection Quality
- Console Shadows
Modloading
This mod can be used for modloading purposes. See modloading for more details.
Configuration#
You can edit GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.ini
or GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix.cfg
if you need to edit the file outside of the game for some reason. See the list of non-ingame options if you need to tweak them.
